Issue: 237

It is now over five years since the last vacuum-braked concentrate train ran on the former Emu Bay Railway in March 2002. The concentrate trains are now normally the domain of GM-powered locos, such as DQ2008-QR2062-DQ2007 photographed hauling southbound train 277 between Burnie and Ridgley on 13 August 2007. © Alex Rothwell Issue: 236

The late summer afternoon sun on 18 January 2007 illuminates paper train 532 as Z2110-Z2113-ZA2116-Z2111 head east at Ravenswood on the Derwent Valley Line. Being a Tuesday, the 35 wagon consist is a block load of 12.2m containers bound for Bell Bay. © Stuart Dix Issue: 233
